Taj Mahal was called the goal of our trip last weekend. Relatively spontaneously we decided this weekend of 01-2:03:08 to go to Agra to the Taj Mahal to visit. Has become almost compulsory program of this impressive building to gaze at, if you already time in India ist.So we boarded on Saturday at the little car and drove off towards the southeast. The trip ansich was a real adventure. The Indians often say yes, that Europeans are not able to drive in its own country. After this trip I can understand a little better why. It needs not much flexibility some courage, much, much patience and an annual subscription to the Go-card-route to pre-screening, but it is quite possible, as Dominik proves. So it is in India for example, not common practice to use the rear view mirror or looking back at a gauge hollow maneuvers. There we just looked forward and the rear has to react to what makes the front. This ride means that is honking in the Indian road very often, to make its presence, and to signal as the first moving car that overtaking is present. So we needed for the distance of 200km good 6 hours and were exhausted when we drove in Agra. The worst however was yet to come. In Agra itself the traffic chaos was 1000 times greater than in the rest of the route. At the entrance to Agra, there is a level crossing, which in India is a unique spectacle. If the crossing is closed in front of a large bunch of cars, on both tracks (in the same direction) on both sides of the railroad crossing. The chaos reigns when the Crossing reopens, then yes, you can imagine ... A few bumps and scratches later, we reached the center of Agra and thus could begin hotel search. We had decided to return to the vorherein in a good hotel, which is called in India as much as 5 *****. On the Internet we had picked out some offers and were very surprised when we wanted to sell the receptionist's room for twice the price. That was too expensive and we were on the way to an internet cafe to the offer to book over the Internet. Amazingly, it went well and we are pleased moved into the ITC Mughal Agra. We spent the evening with food and herumflanieren.Am next day was called then to the Taj Mahal. With a Velorikshaw we left chauffeured us to this unique palace and bought in the last meters to the entrance for 3 "Taj Mahal Schneieli" Case for 15 Note here that the starting bid was at Rs 150 :-). Outside the entrance was already a horde of Indian tourists in a snake. Luckily I was with my Misfits of India, which took us straight to the second, smaller entrance on the other side. Thus, our wait time was 1 hour instead of about 1min.Das Taj Mahal is really an impressive building and was built by Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died after her 14th birth Child at the age of 38 years died. Because of this, we the Taj Mahal often as a "monument of imperishable love" the Taj Mahal bezeichnet.Nach we also looked at the Red Fort. This has fallen to me as well, also because it had as much less people. Since we had left when looking at the buildings a lot of time, it was after the Red Ford already time to connect back home. So we again boarded the small Marutti and drove the 200km back. Late at night we came home to where we fell immediately into bed dead tired.
