From 5 Star Hotel to the site of the North
started on Saturday morning our Adventure and we took a small Marutti the 200km stretch from Gurgaon to Haridwar. Haridwar is one of the most important holy places of northern India. This is not only because of its location (junction of the Ganges from the slopes of the Himalayas to the plains of northern India) but also that it finds in the Hindu mythology reference, which in this case a total of four drops of immortality (amrit) fallen ground to soll.Bereits were in the dark, we found the hotel Le Grand where we wanted to quartered for the night. An associated restaurant and reasonably clean rooms made our decision leichter.Am next morning we went to Rishikesh 24km away, which is considered the "Yoga Capital of the wold. The next two nights we spent at the Ananda Spa hotel above Rishikesh. The Ananda Spa offers various Ayurveda treatments, yoga lessons and other spa amenities such as sauna, steam bath, massages, fitness room and heated outdoor pool and it was my birthday gift that I erhielt.Ich left by Dominik me two days enjoy total and allowed myself next morgentlichen the yoga lessons (starting 7:15), two Ayuverdabehandlungen. In addition to yoga and treatments were also good food, Fittnesscenter, sauna and steam baths and relax at the pool on the program. Fully relaxed, we went after two days on the journey. Relatively spontaneously, we went to Srinagar (not in Kashmir, the Klien Uttarakhand). In Srinagar ma we want us to look for a hotel and found one themselves. This was still under construction, but had a few habitable rooms which were rented for Rs 400 (approx. 10 Fr). Besides air conditioning, electricity and bedding half the room also had Indian bathroom with a toilet and running water (cold only, unfortunately). These are all things in India are not necessarily self-evident. So it happened that after a 5-star hotel in a Buastelle for 10 francs, and spent the night to a dinner (noodles with vegetables) eaten that much as 0.65Fr. it cost per person.
