Alicia Rhodes - Take The Black Seed
From 5 Star Hotel to the site of the North
started on Saturday morning our Adventure and we took a small Marutti the 200km stretch from Gurgaon to Haridwar. Haridwar is one of the most important holy places of northern India. This is not only because of its location (junction of the Ganges from the slopes of the Himalayas to the plains of northern India) but also that it finds in the Hindu mythology reference, which in this case a total of four drops of immortality (amrit) fallen ground to soll.Bereits were in the dark, we found the hotel Le Grand where we wanted to quartered for the night. An associated restaurant and reasonably clean rooms made our decision leichter.Am next morning we went to Rishikesh 24km away, which is considered the "Yoga Capital of the wold. The next two nights we spent at the Ananda Spa hotel above Rishikesh. The Ananda Spa offers various Ayurveda treatments, yoga lessons and other spa amenities such as sauna, steam bath, massages, fitness room and heated outdoor pool and it was my birthday gift that I erhielt.Ich left by Dominik me two days enjoy total and allowed myself next morgentlichen the yoga lessons (starting 7:15), two Ayuverdabehandlungen. In addition to yoga and treatments were also good food, Fittnesscenter, sauna and steam baths and relax at the pool on the program. Fully relaxed, we went after two days on the journey. Relatively spontaneously, we went to Srinagar (not in Kashmir, the Klien Uttarakhand). In Srinagar ma we want us to look for a hotel and found one themselves. This was still under construction, but had a few habitable rooms which were rented for Rs 400 (approx. 10 Fr). Besides air conditioning, electricity and bedding half the room also had Indian bathroom with a toilet and running water (cold only, unfortunately). These are all things in India are not necessarily self-evident. So it happened that after a 5-star hotel in a Buastelle for 10 francs, and spent the night to a dinner (noodles with vegetables) eaten that much as 0.65Fr. it cost per person.

India - Let the adventure begin ...
In the days from 15.03.-03.29.2008 with the little we Marutti of Dominik touring the north of India, more specifically, the predominantly Staad Uttarakhand. The following is a brief summary of our program, which incidentally was written by my company:
15.03. Start with my Maruti in Gurgaon, the journey begins with a crossing of Delhi. Since this has already happened, I can tell already that we have found a way, but certainly not the fastest. While we in the middle of Delhi just had a problem finding the correct road, we had the exit from the city all the more lucky and caught just the desired Highway. Since we started it was not very early but then quite quickly we reached Haridwar dark but as I previously had provided.
16.03. We spent the night at the Hotel Le Grand in the morning and I have approved the Formula 1 race. Then about 50km were on the agenda for Ananda - In the Himalayas, a luxury hotel in the mountains. The entire complex is situated on a hill and contains a Maharaja's Palace where you will find the reception, luxurious rooms with views over the valley, a large spa area with swimming pool, of course, a restaurant (with a huge dessert buffet) and golf, squash, Yoga and meditation courses. Here we are left with two possibly three nights before it then goes into even unplanned terrain.
23.03. I will of course then what we report in the days to 23 have experienced, The plan provides simply that we should arrive on this day in Nainital. Because at 24.03. celebrating a teammate's engagement here and there we are near the road, you can even combine this straight.
25.03. After the party, it goes directly into the Corbett National Park Jim Corbett was a British poachers or hunters who then walked towards the end of his life to animal rights, and therefore a national park tapp got. In the four days we will slip in his step and explore by jeep or elephant territory. We stay in a lodge located in the park
28.03. In the afternoon, the adventure in the Corbett to end and we will be the first few miles until we go somewhere in the direction of Delhi the road will stop for a rest.
29.03. to wash pit stop in Gurgaon at all the clothes and the suitcase to pack suitable for South India.

second Trip to Delhi, Gurgaon
was on my birthday nothing spectacular on the program. Spontaneously, I was by the two colleagues Räto (the roommate from Dominic) who were staying in the apartment at the time, invited to accompany them to Delhi. I happily accepted the invitation and we set a short time later on his way. Since it was the last holiday of the two and they set out to spend as little money, our first task was called to search a vehicle that drove us to Delhi for Rs 300. After a short time on the street corner (again countless Indians were around us in order to discuss whatever) held a white car, which was chauffeured us each for Rs 50 (cheaper than expected) to our destination. However, there was only one problem, sat in the car already three people and we were three, makes a total of six. This seems to us to a problem in India but that is nothing at all. So we drove to sixth in a 5-passenger car the 1-2 hour walk to Delhi. Our driver was a real Indian speedster, which gives us the advantage of faster in Delhi to be, on the other hand, some uncertainty on our part there. Especially from then, when he drove off a wild dog that was about to cross the street. Fortunately, the dog stood up again, and ran out of road safety. I can only hope that he was not seriously injured hat.In Dehli us the driver as the Connaught Place from vereinbahrt. First he had to, however, about a half hour by asking. When getting out, he wanted abknöpfen us a little more money than vereinbahrt as we had observed, however, when getting our sixth rider that he had even paid Rs 10 or less, we stayed focused and paid the agreed Rs 150 and left the vehicle. At Connaught Place we ate something small (a kind of puff pastry filled with vegetables) from a street vendor and then drove us underground, the time in a Bazaar, where ermärteten, my companion the last souvenirs and gifts. After shopping, we took the relatively new and modern Metro to Old Delhi to Chawri Bazar. The Metro is designed for Indian conditions rather expensive and therefore probably are not as many people to be found there. Perhaps this was also only at the time or the fact that the Indians riding the Metro is not yet discovered it haben. In Old Dehli first so we did not know exactly in which direction we go now Solt and so we left an empty Coca Cola bottle We decide that we laid on the floor and shot. pointing in the direction in which the bottle head, we marched los.Old Delhi is the Main Bazaar Road compare to, it is dusty, noisy and crowded. It forces its way through narrow streets which is lined with dilapidated houses and keeps meeting typical Indian the facilities, such as certain Strominstalationen (see pictures) require that amazed. The big difference from the Main Bazar Road is probably the other offer. Here are in fact more Esswaren offered so the stalls on the roadsides fruits, vegetables but also spices. In between will be edited or materials such as iron "Chräleli" sold for jewelry production. We crept about 1 hour through the streets of Old Delhi, until we decided to return to compete. We negotiated with a Motorrikshawfahrer for the trip to Gurgaon at a price of 400 Rs, this was not quite as cheap as our outward journey, keeping in mind the normal taxi fare for a ride Delhi - Gurgaon from Rs 800 but still very cheap. After 2 hour drive we arrived at home. The dinner with teammate Dominik and a small private birthday celebration with a round cake from my birthday and made it with my Dehliausflug to a busy day.

Side Effects Of Taking Vemma
- Agra and return trip to Delhi
Taj Mahal was called the goal of our trip last weekend. Relatively spontaneously we decided this weekend of 01-2:03:08 to go to Agra to the Taj Mahal to visit. Has become almost compulsory program of this impressive building to gaze at, if you already time in India ist.So we boarded on Saturday at the little car and drove off towards the southeast. The trip ansich was a real adventure. The Indians often say yes, that Europeans are not able to drive in its own country. After this trip I can understand a little better why. It needs not much flexibility some courage, much, much patience and an annual subscription to the Go-card-route to pre-screening, but it is quite possible, as Dominik proves. So it is in India for example, not common practice to use the rear view mirror or looking back at a gauge hollow maneuvers. There we just looked forward and the rear has to react to what makes the front. This ride means that is honking in the Indian road very often, to make its presence, and to signal as the first moving car that overtaking is present. So we needed for the distance of 200km good 6 hours and were exhausted when we drove in Agra. The worst however was yet to come. In Agra itself the traffic chaos was 1000 times greater than in the rest of the route. At the entrance to Agra, there is a level crossing, which in India is a unique spectacle. If the crossing is closed in front of a large bunch of cars, on both tracks (in the same direction) on both sides of the railroad crossing. The chaos reigns when the Crossing reopens, then yes, you can imagine ... A few bumps and scratches later, we reached the center of Agra and thus could begin hotel search. We had decided to return to the vorherein in a good hotel, which is called in India as much as 5 *****. On the Internet we had picked out some offers and were very surprised when we wanted to sell the receptionist's room for twice the price. That was too expensive and we were on the way to an internet cafe to the offer to book over the Internet. Amazingly, it went well and we are pleased moved into the ITC Mughal Agra. We spent the evening with food and herumflanieren.Am next day was called then to the Taj Mahal. With a Velorikshaw we left chauffeured us to this unique palace and bought in the last meters to the entrance for 3 "Taj Mahal Schneieli" Case for 15 Note here that the starting bid was at Rs 150 :-). Outside the entrance was already a horde of Indian tourists in a snake. Luckily I was with my Misfits of India, which took us straight to the second, smaller entrance on the other side. Thus, our wait time was 1 hour instead of about 1min.Das Taj Mahal is really an impressive building and was built by Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died after her 14th birth Child at the age of 38 years died. Because of this, we the Taj Mahal often as a "monument of imperishable love" the Taj Mahal bezeichnet.Nach we also looked at the Red Fort. This has fallen to me as well, also because it had as much less people. Since we had left when looking at the buildings a lot of time, it was after the Red Ford already time to connect back home. So we again boarded the small Marutti and drove the 200km back. Late at night we came home to where we fell immediately into bed dead tired.

Orlando, Fl Gay Cruising
selbstekochten After a delicious dinner with his mother, sister and aunt of Dominic (who at the time took three weeks holiday in India), I decided to visit the next day three in Delhi and a little bit them to move around the houses.
in time by 10 clock was my driver in front of the house, which was to take me to the hotel from Dominic's family. The driver could, however, very little English and had no idea where this hotel is accurate. However, this can be said not just in India but it will just set off and then seen. First formed always a bunch of Indians around the car, discuss all of which do, where one of the drivers will now take just ...
After about 20 minutes I sat still in the car and drove towards Delhi. Up to the Central Railway Station in Delhi, all went well, but then began to fumble for the hotel. Again and again, the driver stopped and asked for directions. To Fortunately, I had a guidebook with a map of this area here and I was able to orient quickly. This, however, took advantage of the driver is not too much (as most understand how difficult English words, let alone be able to read maps), but reassured me immensely. At least I could in the worst case scenario to get out and go on foot :-) It also helped me so much that I could tell my driver to drive around the outside as he was bequatscht after a tap in the wrong street, I had to get an un Rickshaw . take After a long fumble
we found the hotel and I was even on time. The 50km long drive to Delhi had lasted 2 h (as included in the hotel met
:-) I am the mother of Dominic (Hanny) with which I moved through the Main Bazaar Road. Main Bazar Road is an experience in itself ... witnessed a lot of fun.
"I am in the quiet, beautiful gekühten lobby of the hotel a few guests will discuss with muted voices together, otherwise it is quiet I look out the window to the outside, the view through the huge windows.. the hotel seems like the view on a giant TV with no sound to be. prevails on the other side of the disk drive lively. issued by the welcome my company we are on our way. The hotel entrance will stop us from an employee and we pass through the door to another world ...
It suggests we meet a wall of hot, dirty air and noise. We follow the Main Bazar Road towards Central Railway Station. The road is lined with various shops; be Sarees (Indian garment for women) offered, and more jewelry stores, fabric shops, but also clothing shops where. We follow the road, always resist stopped by the honking Motorrikshaws or ringing Velorikshas us run over almost without regard for losses. However, we are always scarce escaped with his life :-). The praises of various goods to us shall be borne by the voices of street vendors to the ear, we do not hear more soon. Again and again, beggars tick our way. The road seems overcrowded with dealers, buyers, children, beggars, and occasionally even a few tourists, with Rikshaws, bicycles, horse carts as well as other curious companions. The short distance from the hotel to Central Station and back again nearly two hours to complete. On the way we acquire various jewelry and some beautiful clothes. When we left the restaurant just in front of hotels enter the door to another world seems to close a bit. In here it is calmer and cooler. I order my first Indian food and let me the last 2 hours going through his head again. Truly an experience in itself ... "
waited After lunch already the driver to take us to the Dilli Haat to bring. The Dilli Haat is a market in Delhi where merchants offer their goods from all over India. Although you pay for this market is 12 rupee admission (: 39 = CHF), but found after admission control in a park-like grounds with stalls again. Here you can concentrate stress-free shopping again, that is to be run over as much as no fear of the Rikshaws. Also, it has not so much because of the fee-paying ticket people. It is worthwhile in any case, the admission fee to apply and to take enough time to ask for as many items for the price in order to create a more accurate picture. I have it above all the various Scarves and fabrics in all kinds of color done, which can be purchased here at an absolutely ungschlagbar low price. At 6
clock we met who was extra Dominik came here for dinner. The Dilli Haat is in fact the way in the open air eating, what else is in Delhi and surroundings rather schwirig. Because of the dirty air and the dust, there are many restaurants that is very rare in the open.
After dinner we drove home, Dominik and I go back to Gurgaon and Hanny in her hotel. Thus, an eventful day came to an end.

arrival in India
at 1:30 pm in the night of Friday to Saturday (23:02:08) I was in Delhi at the airport. I was
already warned that in India things can run a little differently than we're used from within Switzerland. However, I sometimes forget almost like one or the other expires in Switzerland, I had but just been so tidy and sorted before Sydney. So I was the one-hour waiting period before the passport control and then take the further relaxed waiting for my luggage in attack and was looking forward even more than me out there already Dominik joyfully anticipated.
On the way to the car we saw a bunch of Indians who tried to get the longest line of "Gepäckwägeli" in one piece to carry. This was a funny sight, and also another example of that in India not everything works the way we are we used to. "Why simple when it comes too complicated", fits in many ways to the strange ideas that I have experienced here so far. If it were not a problem and have been much less cumbersome to split the "Gepäckwägelischlange" among the 10 Indians fighting with the snake and feed the whole into individual pieces. But India would only be half as interesting if it would not be totally different and the same ideas as in Switzerland.
The driver expected and already in the parking lot and drove us to the apartment in Gurgaon by Dominik (about 50km south of Delhi), where I will live the next 3 weeks until his work Dominik has ended and we can losreisen together.
As some of you may have noticed already I am ahead of schedule in India. I have changed my itinerary a bit and will fly to India 2 months (-23.04.08) to Thailand. Do I still travel from there to the overland route to Laos and Vietnam is not yet definitive. I will surprise myself sometimes where my path takes me. :-)

How To Remove A Mouth Wart From A Dog
Sydney (15.02.-22:02:08)
I am sorry to disappoint the Australia's fan of you a bit since my already short stay was marked on this remote continent through my somewhat laborious and persistent cold.
in early last night in Brazil, I had received nearly 39 degree fever, which then fortunately the next day was almost gone. The 30 hour journey was there for my health but probably not very helpful and I struggled the following week with a sore throat, cough, runny nose and fever.
Thus it came about that the planned trips to the Blue Mountains and the surrounding national parks fell into the water and exploring the city marches proved to be very stressful.
I came but to still my city to look a little bit and on my short with pauses-frosted exploring crossed attractions including the Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour, the Rocks, with its Sunday market, the Sydney Tower, the Royal Botanic Garden, etc my way. My hostel was
glücklicherwise centrally located next to Chinatown and I had to do any major traveling more to me to look at the center.
This week I agreed with me also a known Annie who lives in Sydney and we are together countersigned food. This evening was very entertaining and we are walking around on 1h and Sydney have been viewed by night.
on 22.02.08 at 12 clock finally lifted from my long-awaited flight to India.
